Each individual Eejit is lovingly made and brought to life by me (their creator Emily J. Taylor), and I hope to find lovely new homes for each of them. They are born out of a pile of polar fleece, felt and polyester filling which makes them very soft and appealing to everyone. They are unique as each one is handmade and their strange shapes and designs make them interesting odd gifts for friends, family and your home.

About us

Eejits Toys is a small home based business with big ambitions run and owned by Emily J Taylor. After studying A level and foundation level art and design Emily fulfilled her life time dream of learning how to animate by taking a BA (Hons) in Animation at the University of Wales, Newport graduating in 2005. Animation was always Emily's passion but during her time at uni she also discovered many other loves among which were a love of contemporary design and a particular talent in character designing and textiles, which she often combined to make models for stop-motion animations.

In the summer of 2005, knowing that jobs in the stop-motion animation industry were scarce, Emily was struggling to find her place in the world beyond full-time education. While working full-time to pay off her student over-draft, just by chance, she created her first ever Eejit, a funny looking blue teddy with big teeth, which was based on a design for one of her past animated characters. It was a present for a dear one and she was surprised at how well it was received. Soon Emily was making lots of presents for lots of dear ones until someone suggested she should unleash them on the rest of the world. And since then Emily and the Eejits have built a mini empire and hope to carry on growing.

A bit about safety

Eejits are intended for young adults and collectors but Emily does realise that they can appeal to parents buying toys for their children so she has made them as safe as she can. The toys are made from polar fleece with felt designs appliquéd onto them. They are filled with safety standard polyester toy filling and their eyes are plastic safety eyes. They do conform to EU safety standards and are self certified. Therefore they are suitable for children but young children must be supervised when playing with a toy. If giving as a gift all safety information attached to the toy (on the tag) should be given also for the parents reference but removed before the toy is given to the child.

Shipping & Returns

All orders are packaged so that they will not get injured on the journey. In the extremely unlikely event that you receive your item damaged please let Emily know as soon as possible and you may return it for a replacement or if that item is no longer available a refund.

If you change your mind about your order you have 7 working days to cancel and Emily will refund your payment as soon as possible. If the item(s) have already been sent you will have to return the item before a refund is given and postage and packaging for returning items will not be refunded unless the item is damaged. Any item(s) being returned must be so within 30 days of receipt of the item(s). Refunds will be given in the same payment method as they were received.

Unfortunately refunds cannot be given for any custom-made item, so please be sure to give as much information as to what you want when placing an order. Custom-made items are any items that do not appear within the Eejits main catalogue and have special instructions that were requested by e-mail.

Postage costs are stated when purchasing any items, unfortunately postage costs can only be refunded if the item is damaged.

Privacy & Payment

Eejits Toys maintain a high level of respect for your personal information, as Emily hates unwanted spam and junk mail herself, so at no point will she pass your details onto third parties. Although, she may send you Eejits promotional material and items from time to time, you will not receive any unsolicited mail through them.

Emily can also take payment by cheque or postal order. If you are interested in paying in this way please send an email to mail@eejitstoys.com or via the contact form with details of which item(s) you would like to purchase and in which way you would like to make payment. Emily will contact you with payment instructions as soon as she can.

All online payments are processed through PayPal externally and are therefore very secure.
